Oprah Gail Winfrey is born in Mississippi. Her dad had to leave before she was born to the army. After her birth, her mother left to go living northward, so Oprah had to go live in the poverty with her grandmother, Hattie Mae Lee. Her grandmother made clothes with bags of potatoes. It was demeaning for Oprah to go out of her house wearing those clothes. At fourteen years old, she gave birth to a guy. Unfortunately, her son died a little time later. After that, she was grieving her son’s death. At school, she was recognized as a quick-witted girl, so they offered her a scholarship. The Nicolet High School accepted her and she continued her studies. After having won an oratory contest, she received another scholarship that has led her to the Tennessee State University. There, she chose to start a career in the media. Anyone was shocked by her choice, she was born to be a spokesperson. Finally, she debuted by being recruited on many talk-shows. After she has done enough years of broadcasting, she decided to work on her own talk-show (The Oprah Winfrey Show.), she is now recognized internationally and has many groupies.
