The oil industry's drilling, moving, laying pipeline, and shipping which also opens the possibility for water pollution

But don't worry there are ways to to prevent water pollution in your community

Here are five ways you and your community can do to prevent water pollution in you community

Dispose of toxic Chemicals Properly

Don't pour your motor oil down the storm drain

Wash your car or outdoor equipment where it can flow to a gravel or grassy area instead of a street

Don't put fertilizer on grass right before it rains

Never clean up a spill rinsing into a storm drain
