Oh well, I didn't know that. I mean, you look..
Anyway, you know me I didn't mean anything by it. Does it really matter?
Well, you never asked, and actually, yeah it really does matter
It Matters Because...
Half of transgender boys
A third of transgender girls
and over 40% of non-binary children
Admitted to attempting
suicide in their lifetimes
While 98% of transgender and non
binary adults who experienced
discrimination in the workplace
contemplated suicide in that same
year and 41% of those went on to
I mean....that's sad and all
Yeah, not to mention, it could protect
the company. Legal payouts
are higher than ever, and LGBTQ
are on the rise.
In 2019, over 1800 cases of
were filed nationwide at
a cost of over $7 million.
A recent study published in the
journal; Proceedings of the National
Academy of Sciences found that
using gender-neutral language
is associated with a decrease in
mental bias toward men.
A reduction in unconscious
bias could, in turn, prevent
individuals or organizations
discriminating against people
of all genders.

(which includes pregnancy, sexual
orientation, and gender identity)
and disability as protected categories
under Title VII of the Civil rights act.
So, no matter if you feel like being
Transgender is a disability, or if
you recognize it for what it is, a
valid gender expression, LGBTQ
people of all genders are currently
protected by federal law.
A 2015 survey of more than 27,000
transgender Americans found that
at work, 53% of those surveyed felt
that they had to hide their gender
identity and 47% did not ask their
boss to use their correct pronouns
for fear of discrimination.
