In August 21, 1983, Former Senator Ninoy Aquino was Assassinated. This sparked the rebellion which led to the doom of the Marcos Family.

1986, EDSA Revolution EDSA Revolution was a peaceful revolution that through prayer and courage they were able to overthrow Former Pres. Fernidand Marcos. EDSA Revolution was aka the People Power Revolution but also the Yellow Revolution due to the presence of Yellow Ribbons.

After the fall of the Marcoses a new President was elected and it was the wife of Sen. Ninoy Aquino, Corazon Aquino. She became the 11th President of the Philippines and is the 1st Female President the Philippines had.
