Students need to be cleared by UW before counting hours

Day to day tasks will depend on setting, but should involve direct work with clients

Hours will need to be signed off in online portfolio

Set goals for personal and professional development

Students consider 7 skill areas and evidence understanding of these

For example: Communication, Multi-agency working, Planning...

They will then focus on 4 in detail and set relevant goals to develop these skills

Reflect on progress over placement

Students reflect on their goals with mentor help halfway through and at the end

Students reflect on progress in a 3500 word assignment

Students and mentors will regularly review online portfolio

We will arrange a WBL visit once the placement starts to discuss everything in more detail
