What is an Equation?
00:12
Equation, statement of equality between two expressions consisting of variables and/or numbers.
00:25
How to solve an Equation?
00:29
There are 2 types to solve a Equation: 1)Adding or Subtracting on both sides 2)Transposing
00:34
Now i will tell you about transposing...
00:36
Transpose is to move something from one side of an equation to another.
00:43
For example:we have an equation 3p-10=5 now we transpose -10 from LHS to RHS 3p=5+10 on transposing the operation (-) changes to (+) in the same way (×) changes to (÷) 3p=15 now we transpose 3 from LHS to RHS p=15÷3 p=5
00:45
I have some questions for you.
00:48
1)5t + 28 = 10 2)2 (x + 4) = 12
00:57
Solution
01:01
1) 5t+28=10 5t=10-28 5t=(-18) t=(-18)/5
01:04
2) 2(x+4)=12 x+4=12/2 x+4=6 x=6-4 x=2
