Who Am I . . .

“Secret” Talent, Information Hi, my name is Mireya Mayor. One thing you might not know about me is that I am a life scientist and I love to save animals, especially lemurs. I do this because when I was in school, I learned about two rare lemurs. No one knew anything about them. So now I help raise awareness, protect their habitat, and make sure they do not become extinct.

When I was younger As a child, I loved animals and climbing trees. I asked my mom if I could join girl scouts she said no.

When I was In school I went to college at the University of Miami and Stone Brook University

Where I am now  Now I'm traveling the world to save endangered animals and I love my job

Something I did after college was cheerleading for the NFL. I also wrote a book called Pink Boots and a Machete: My Journey from NFL Cheerleader to National Geographic Explorer and I have a TV show called "Expedition Bigfoot." I have joined Florida International University as the director of the Exploration and Science Communications Initiative in the College of Arts, Sciences & Education.
