00:06
According to a 2019 study, gun injuries are the second-leading cause of death among U.S. children and teens and the leading cause of death of among high school students. There are more times a gun is used to hurt someone else. The more time that goes on the more it seems like there is no more hope for the world to change. This problem affects the majority of the United States. Viewers should care because the longer this issue should remain unchecked the more people who will die from many types of gun violence.

Among suicide victims requiring hospital treatment, suicide attempts with a firearm are much more deadly than attempts by jumping or drug poisoning — 90% die compared to 34% and 2% respectively. About 90% of those that survive a suicide attempt do not go on to die by suicide. Gun violence has been happening for decades if not longer there is always something taht is wrong but this always ends up haing more to it. Domestic violence is more likely to turn deadly with a gun in the home. An abusive partner’s access to a firearm increases the risk of homicide eightfold for women in physically abusive relationships. This issue has been visited by serval congressmen and women but there has yet to be any closer to a resolution. NO matter what they say about it people always end up not likely any solution. Public oppion is a major setback to everything. Many people are opposed to it because they dont like having  restirctions on having firearms.

The vast majority of accidental firearm deaths among children are related to child access to firearms — either self-inflicted or at the hands of another child. Studies have shown that states with Child Access Prevention (CAP) laws laws have a lower rate of unintentional death than states without CAP laws. Succcess will look like with fewer gun related crimes. They need to come to a desction on what they want for the restrictions and stick to that dection
