In the research process I looked at hundreds of magazines in order to establish the brand identity and house style for  my magazine.  This helped inspire the look for 'Zola"

I wanted to create a bold, empowering look as well as  making my magazine aesthetically pleasing to the eye. I wanted my magazine to be uncluttered and minimalistic

The masthead Zola is short and punchy and allows my audience of digital natives with short attention spans to remember it and use it as a hashtag to discover easily on social media

I chose a neutral colour palette for the house style - it's evident on the front cover, contents page and double page spread.

The colour palette is calm and inviting and should appeal to my target demographic as the tones will enable the font colour to  "pop'

I intend to use elements of media language to engage with my media literate audience. Firstly, the layout would immediately engage them and the language in the coverlines would capture their attention.I have used alliteration and an formal mode of address which is commonly used for my target audience.
