millions of Filipinos, along Epifanio de los Santos Avenue
also known as EDSA, protestors flood the streets.
The revolution caused by the infamous assassination of
Senator Benigno Aquino sparked a so called "bloodless"
revolution where people rallied into the streets of EDSA.
The EDSA revolution had caused the dictator and
father of the current president, Ferdinand Marcos
to withdraw from the Philippines and resign after
his rampart reign of corruption and electoral
All over the world, it is said that this
peaceful revolution had been the inspirator and
beginning of more uprisings against dictators
all over the world. The famous statue you all
recognize was erected to commemorate the three
days of February 1986
We continue to celebrate this day, and are forever
thankful for the ending of Ferdinand Marcos' regime.
