The start of our Sun was from the violent death of another star. The passing of a supergiant.

A Supernova, caused by a rebound explosion where the heavy elements bounces off the iron core, sent shockwaves causing dust in space to move.

The dust that had been moved would collapse under its own weight, and gravity would begin to pull the particles inwards towards the center. Those particles, however, would resist and slow down because the gravitational pull from the center isn't strong enough.
