CLIMATE CHANGE & GLOBAL WARMING

SINGLE-USE PLASTIC AND MARINE POLLUTION
00:07
HUMAN ACTIVITY
00:14
Burning these materials releases what are called greenhouse gases into Earth’s atmosphere. There, these gases trap heat from the sun’s rays inside the atmosphere causing Earth’s average temperature to rise.
00:30
The warming of the planet impacts local and regional climates. Throughout Earth's history, climate has continually changed. When occuring naturally, this is a slow process that has taken place over hundreds and thousands of years. The human influenced climate change that is happening now is occuring at a much faster rate.

SINGLE-USE PLASTIC
00:58
These ítems are things like:
01:12
We produce roughly 300 million tons of plastic each year and half of it is disposable! World-wide only 10-13% of plastic items are recycled.
01:14
These plastics prioritize convenience over durability and repeated use, making them a prime culprit behind our throw-away society.

How is Single-Use Plastic Production Contributing to Climate Change?
