Poverty
00:18
Poverty is a severe issue we are dealing with today. Nations have trouble sustaining health-care measures because a lot of their own people are starving, and do not possess the properequipment to avoid getting infected. Many countries, such as the DRC, (Democratic Republicof Congo) are suffering from shortage of food, if countries do not invest in proper  housing forthe poor, the result will be an acceleration in cases with many people at once, since the poorare more vulnerable due to lack of food and medicine to help their immune systems.

proper investments in healthcare
00:31
OXFAM is an organisation by the WHO and World Bank. With the desired credibility, it has made it's way providing proper sanitation materials for the poor, through Rohingya Camps in Bangladesh, Burkina Faso, and even the DRC. TheDemocratic Republic of Congo has poverty rates up to 72%of the entire population. The official report published by OXFAM states that the WASH facility (area of importance towards sustaining healthcare for everyone) found solutionsto helping the poor amid the current pandemic. This includes a five point plan to accomplish the removal ofhigh infection rates in high poverty areas.  This plan alsoincludes the investments in healthcare facilities in many regional areas within the DRC, all with masks, gloves, sanitzers, and more materials to help keep people safe. "A lack of safe access to water and sanitation makes DRC particularly vulnerable to COVID-19."https://www.oxfam.org/en/press-releases/health-spending-poor-countries-must-double-immediately-prevent-millions-deaths

WSJ - Poverty
00:36
According to the Wall Street Journal, a website for raising awareness to poverty, the ratesin places such as Venezuela, Pakistan, and the DRC have poverty rates climbing up to 78.95%PER nation. "confirmed cases have started to spike in recent days, a sign the contagion is advancing exponentially, disease-control experts say.”-WSJ, Shah and ParkinsonAfter the Coronavirus hit these areas, more people are at risk of death, because of the lack of access to healthcare. Additionally, this situation also reinforces lockdown in many other countries. Nations with a high amount of the population being poor face the issue of hunger. More people in poverty are more likely to die from hunger, because the lockdown means no one can buy things, which means those people will not have enough money to afford food, along with the climbing grocery prices.
00:44
As shown in the statistics presented, poverty rates havereached up to one million. so how can we feed one million people and help them by providing sustainablehealthcare/materials?
00:53
What can we and nationsdo to help?
00:54
With proper investments in healthcare materials and sanitation products, a decrease in infection rateswith preventative measures can be a resultAs students and citizens, we can: - Donate to organisations such as OXFAM or WASH -  encourage others to raise awareness so that the leaders take action on controlling the spread of COVIDAs a leader of presenting authority, you may:  - End political tensions and sanctions, life mattersmore than a country's dispute.   - Invest in building hospitals, healthcare overweaponry, masks, ventilators, and gloves.    - stop blaming each other for the cause of the virus.
00:56
By following these actions and solutions presented, Poverty has a chance of decreasingthroughout the world by time.

Clean Health  and Sanitation
01:01
This Official Report from the UN emphasisesthe importance of cleanhealth and sanitation material within nations.
01:01
Another key component that we as people and a nation need to improve, is proper clean health andsanitation. to maintain a good health, people need propermaterials for cleansing. Clean water and Sanitation is less accessible in certain areas. Because of this, the virus has more of a chance to spread rapidly because more people are in groups together. They do not have proper sanitation, which means people (not just the poor) cannot take preventative measures (using sanitation material) to avoid the spread of the virus. Clean water is also very important so that we can use it to cleanse ourselves, without clean water, other viruses have a more of a likely chance of growing onto surfaces.
01:08
This report is an article of guidance that people should follow. "• Existing WHO guidance on the safe management ofdrinking-water and sanitation services applies to theCOVID-19 outbreak. Water disinfection andsanitation treatment can reduce viruses. Sanitationworkers should have proper training and access topersonal protective equipment (PPE) and in manyscenarios, a specific combination of PPE elementsis recommended. " However, sanitation is still infrequent in many areas, such asdifferent nations in poverty. sanitation is very important, as wellas basic hygiene. without this use of protection, more virus caseswill grow, and more people are at risk of death. Proper access tosanitation services in all nations is crucial for the decrease in deathand infection rates.

UN - Sanitation and waste management.
01:14
This project works in cooperation WASH AND OXFAM. it ensures proper capability for every nation to have access to sanitation. As said before, without sanitation, diseases have more of a likely outcome of intoxicating and killing."During an infectious disease outbreak, ensuring these facilities have a reliable and safe water supply as well as soap allows medical professionals to provide care safely while also protecting their own well-being."Sanitation materials should not be narrowed down to only this pandemic, but should be usedworldwide at all time to ensure the safety  and livelihoods of every single individual. We need proper water and sanitation materials in order to stay away from infections. However, apart from us, people in poverty do not have these materials. In order to help people gain access to sanitation materials, we must prioritise the arrangement in investing, and transportation so people can actually receive things.

Masks: 1.729614 billion US$ +Sanitizers: 1.08306 billion US$ +Gloves: 3.557688 billion US$ +Face Shields: 649.83600 million US$ +Gowns (Doctors): 46.2 million US$ +
01:22
NOTE: Given prices for investments are for populations above 3 million. Given prices are for ever individual.
01:28
The following reports from the UN describe how essential it is to have theseSDG goals, and how mental health is a largeconsideration for well-being.
01:28
Finally, the third UN SDG goal that must be improved, is Good Health and Well Being. Healthcare systems are in turmoil amid this pandemic, they do not consist of insurance toafford PPE and ventillators. A reason for this, is lack of prioritising healthcare over any other dispute. This sustainable goal ties Clean water and sanitation and poverty, because in order to have Good Health and WellBeing, people need sanitation, and money to afford materials and things needed to have a good health. Whether it is mental health, or physical health as well, the priority is to make sure every individual has good health and wellbeing

UN - Mental Health Considerations
01:34
the UN released an article consisting of other underrated healthcare measures, such as mental health. This article specifies the exaggeration of how important mental health is, and also what people can do to overcome the state they are in. "“The considerations presented in this document have been developed by the WHO Department of Mental Health and Substance Use as a series of messages that can be used in communications to support mental and psychosocial well-being in different target groups during the outbreak. “Depression and anxiety are examples of issues for mental health. It is important to recognise that Mental health contributes to good health and well being.  By following the guidance this article provides, individuals can access this document freely, and help others do the same as well.
01:40
The United Nations Health Department, the WHO (World Health Organisation) published an article about why thesustainable development goals are very relevant today. They mention several times how important Good Health andWell-Being is. "Achieving Goal 3 – Good Health and Well-being – will mean strengthening the capacity of countries for early warning, risk reduction and management of national and global health risks."Health risks have more chances of growing if people do not have the proper materials to avoid more diseases. In order to take preventative measures, countries must prioritise in healthcare and their own people's lives over political dispute. A lot of times, the reason why countries are weak in Health care is because they take prideover politics, and spend their weaponry on war (thanks a lot, Trump).
01:40
UN - Why Good Health and Well Being is one of the most important SDG's
01:46
Why is Good Health and Well Being so Important?
01:46
I chose this SDG because it is extremely important to strengthen our healthcare system to help save more lives. Good Health and Well Being falls under the category of healthcare systems. By strengthening systems, Governments must invest in health and proper access to good health, including mental health. They must (as said before) keep their lives of their people as their main priority, and keep their political relations aside, because a lot of times, these are the reasons for the downfall and hurt of people. For example, the United States. This is a very rich nations, claiming much power. However, their president invested more in military weaponry to kill other people of other countries, such as Iran, Iraq, and Afghanistan. Because of this waste of about 173.8 billion dollars PER energy/nuclear budget, The weakness was the healthcare system. Now, the COVID-19 has killed about 90,000 people in the US, and are currently running out of ventilators. I guess all that money for weapons to kill people wasn’t worth it as much now, huh?
01:46
01:52
in conclusion, more than focusing on our success, we need to focus on what we need to fix, and how we can help the poor gain access to sanitation and good health. This pandemic has affected us all in different ways, and it has hurt many people tremendously. However, instead of giving up and becoming pessimistic, we need to fight. Fight for our people, and help each other. This world will face so much more in the future, so much worse as well. But as a student to the watcher. Never give up. So thats why…
