Be professional; be proactive with work and assessments; take up learning opportunities; practice safely; adhere to all protocols; organise two placement meetings over the year between UW and setting.

Meet regularly with student; identify learning opportunities; be a 'critical friend'; liaise with UW

Ensure students are cleared to start placement (DBS, health clearance, self risk-assessments)

Support students on placement - conduct visits, offer tutorial and academic support

Support mentors - conduct visits, provide training, maintain effective communication with settings
