Process : "I", "I", .... > I AM, I AM, ... > THIS I AM > MIND (Flow of thoughts) > Mind forgets Siva + identifies with objects/I AM THIS/Sakti > Ego + Object of thought > object thoughts rest on ego thought > so, ego is mind > ego is illumined by Consciousness > Do Self Enquiry: Where does ego rise from? > on constant practice, ego disappears, Consciousness remains.

Bhagwan Ramana Maharshi points out in his teachings that in the cave of our heart, Brahman reflects as "I" "I" ... as Awareness aware of itself as Consciousness without any attributes, not as an object, without any movement, interminable, resonating on itself, a state of Atman Nishta and formless.

Next descent starts. Awareness which was Infinite particularizes to become aware of itself as an object but without separation, with a subtle movement of the singular Awareness. "I" "I" ..expands to I AM, I AM .... This is the birth of the Divine Ego which knows itself as the object of its own Awareness.

Next oscillation becomes bigger. The unitary singular Consciousness expands. I AM ... becomes THIS I AM. Aham becomes Idam. THIS I AM stands separated from 'THIS' THIS I AM as mind becomes Shakti, 'I' as THIS is Shiva. The formless picks up very faint boundaries of Form. Definition becomes stronger, restrictions increase.

Singular Consciousness manifests, through vibration as Universe. Union between Shakti and Shiva creates infinite objects and egos. Vibrations created by Sakti or mind when experienced by Siva, gives rise to names and forms. The names and forms last as long as, the experience by Siva, lasts. When the experience ends the names and forms disappear. As, at night when we are going to sleep. When we stop identifying with our body, we are sucked into sleep. Our waking world of names and forms disappears.

We have seen that the names and forms are relevant when supported by consciousness. They belong to the ego. If we enquire about who knows the ego, then with practice, the ego along with all the names and forms disappear. This is the direct path for Self Realization as shown by Bhagwan Ramana Maharshi.
