KILLING OUR OWN

Agriculture is a crucial part of humanity. The common knowledge is it primarily provides us with food but in fact, it also makes our clothing and helps with industrialization with the use of raw materials from agriculture.
00:21
even then, farming has been the primary source of Food. food is a primary need and is essential to human beings, it shares the spotlight among others which are shelter and clothing, it is important because it nourishes the body and is sustaining the very existence of the species.
00:35
local farmers have been suffering from many things, the biggest issue would be poverty and to name a few , a great surplus of their products resulting to waste and less income for them and lack of major support from the government.
00:48
We should do our part to help them, because what's happening here is our farmers get the shorter end of the stick, they do the hard work in the fields for a minimal income, barely even sufficient for them to live in a month or maybe even in a week.
01:00
we can help them in our own little ways
01:03
Buy from your local "palengke's" and eat at farm to table restaurants. If you're buying in small quantities this would be a very healthy choice because the shorter time these products take from the farm to your table the more nutrients you get from them.
01:16
Buy seasonal and native produce, by doing this not only that you help the local farmers but you can also save more because "in season" fruits and vegetables are often more affordable than those that are not
01:28
practice fair trade, stop haggling with the vendors growing these crops are not easy, it takes time and patience before they are ready to be harvested. blood, sweat and tears are invested by farmers in these products so we should pay them a fair price.
01:40
in conclusion, we should do our best to help our local farmers because they are the one's providing us food but most of the time they are the one's starving. we should also lessen buying imported products and start showing our support to local products.
