Is there any achievement where no action is involved? What is the achievement through action? What is its nature? How can Self be gained? Where can I get knowledge of the Self?
In this world there are two types of achievements.
1. Achievement or Gain through knowledge and action and
2. Achievement where knowledge is equal to gain.

What is Achievement or Gain through knowledge and action?
If I want to have power, then first I must have the knowledge
how to get power and then sweat, toil, strive and act to
achieve power.
Therefore,
Knowledge + action = Gain

What is Achievement where knowledge is equal to gain?
It is the gain of a thing already gained. For example,
If I had shifted my glasses to my head and forgotten. Now,
if am searching for my glasses all over, and somebody
were to come and point out that they were on my head,
then do I have to do anything to gain them? They were
there with me all along but out of ignorance I thought
that I had lost them. Therefore, no action is required.
Knowledge = Gain.

Swami Tejomayananda says,
" The gain of the Self abviously belongs to the second category.
The Self is never far from us in terms of time and place.
Happiness only appears ungained due to ignorance of the Self.
It can be gained by Self-knowledge."
