What is American Red Cross?
According to McKenzie's An Introduction to Community Health & Public Health (2022), "American Red Cross a nonprofit, humanitarian organization led by volunteers and guided by its congressional charter that provides relief to victims of disaster." (pp.444).
They send out government officials through the
organization to help the communities before,
during and after the disaster occur. They help
prepare and heal the communities from the
damage that occur.
How American Red

The Red Cross sends out volunteers
through the organization to the
disaster communities. They assist in
helping the communities get back
on their feet after tragic disasters
occur. This organization is different
than FEMA because the workers
are on a volunteering basis and FEMA
is a government-based agency.
