Now that we have learnt about what
Jesus has done, it's time to answer
the question everyone has been asking...
00:09
WHO IS JESUS?
00:15
We all know the story of how
the world came to be and how
the old testament links to
Jesus's arrival but we don't
actually know who this
great man is.
00:26
Some say he was/is...
00:27
The Messiah
00:29
A teacher
00:30
The Word
00:34
But how can he be all of these things?
00:35
It's simple!
00:36
Because he is the Son of God
00:40
There were over 300 prophecies
written about Jesus.
00:41
Some of them are obvious
00:41
Galatians 4:4-5
00:43
others are more unbelieveable,
00:43
Isaiah 7:14
00:45
a few are even impossible to
predict.
00:45
Micah 5:2
00:49
How is it possible for someone to predict all of these things
before someone is born?
00:53
John 1:1 ‘In the beginning was the Word, the Word was with God, and
the Word was God.’
00:54
In this verse, Jesus is described as 'the Word' meaning he is both God
and his Son which would explain all of the miracles he performed
such as:

Calming a storm

Matthew 14:22-34
Immediately Jesus made the disciples get into the boat and
go on ahead of him to the other side, while he dismissed the
crowd. After he had dismissed them, he went up on a
mountainside by himself to pray. Later that night, he was
there alone, 24 and the boat was already a considerable
distance from land, buffeted by the waves because the wind
was against it.
Shortly before dawn Jesus went out to them, walking on
the lake. When the disciples saw him walking on the lake,
they were terrified. “It’s a ghost,” they said, and cried out
in fear.
But Jesus immediately said to them: “Take courage! It is I.
Don’t be afraid.”
“Lord, if it’s you,” Peter replied, “tell me to come to you on
the water.”
“Come,” he said.
Then Peter got down out of the boat, walked on the water
and came toward Jesus. But when he saw the wind, he was
afraid and, beginning to sink, cried out, “Lord, save me!”
Immediately Jesus reached out his hand and caught him.
“You of little faith,” he said, “why did you doubt?”
nd when they climbed into the boat, the wind died down.
Then those who were in the boat worshiped him, saying,
“Truly you are the Son of God.”

On the third day a wedding took place at Cana in Galilee. Jesus’
mother was there, and Jesus and his disciples had also been invited
to the wedding. When the wine was gone, Jesus’ mother said to him,
“They have no more wine.”
“Woman, why do you involve me?” Jesus replied.
“My hour has not yet come.”
His mother said to the servants, “Do whatever he tells you.” Nearby
stood six stone water jars, the kind used by the Jews for ceremonial
washing, each holding from twenty to thirty gallons.
Jesus said to the servants, “Fill the jars with water”; so they filled
them to the brim Then he told them, “Now draw some out and take
it to the master of the banquet.” They did so, and the master of the
banquet tasted the water that had been turned into wine. He did not
realize where it had come from, though the servants who had drawn
the water knew. Then he called the bridegroom asideand said,
“Everyone brings out the choice wine first and then the cheaper wine
after the guests have had too much to drink; but you have saved the
best till now.” What Jesus did here in Cana of Galilee was the first of
the signs through which he revealed his glory; and his disciples
believed in him.

Jesus is also a teacher
01:17
He taught messages through parables. One of his parables
included the Good Samaritan.

In reply Jesus said: “A man was going down from Jerusalem to Jericho,
when he was attacked by robbers. They stripped him of his clothes, beat
him and went away, leaving him half dead. A priest happened to be going
down the same road, and when he saw the man, he passed by on the other
Side. So too, a Levite, when he came to the place and saw him, passed by on
the other side. But a Samaritan, as he traveled, came where the man was; and
when he saw him, he took pity on him. He went to him and bandaged his wounds,
pouring on oil and wine. Then he put the man on his own donkey, brought him
to an inn and took care of him. The next day he took out two denarii] and gave
them to the innkeeper. ‘Look after him,’ he said, ‘and when I return, I will reimburse
you for any extra expense you may have.’
“Which of these three do you think was a neighbor to the man who fell into the hands
of robbers?” The expert in the law replied, “The one who had mercy on him.”
Jesus told him, “Go and do likewise.”
