Why do mosquito bites itch?
00:07
Mosquito bites itch because of their saliva!
00:14
A mosquito bite would pierce through your skin with its proboscis to suck up your blood.
00:19
While the mosquito is feeding on your blood it injects it’s saliva into your skin.
00:24
The saliva from the mosquito creates a bump that creates a sense for itching the spot.
00:31
Symptoms: A puffy and reddish bump appearing a few minutes after the bite. A hard, itchy, reddish-brown bump, or multiple bumps appearing a day or so after the bite or bites. Small blisters instead of hard bumps. Dark spots that look like bruises.
