How to translate subtitles and text objects?

Please note translating subtitles and/or text objects is only available for Max and Enterprise users.

Translate a project on the Dashboard

  •  On the My Projects page, click Details.
  •  Click Translate and choose between Google Translate and XLIFF import/export.
  •  With Google Translate you get the following options:
  • Pick the language you currently have in your project and choose the destination language.
  • The second option allows you to translate the entire project or just the text object and/or subtitles
  • The third option allows you to create a new project of the translation and/or add them to your existing project.
  • Finally, click Translate to start the translation of your project.
  • When translated, depending on which option you have chosen previously a new project will be created, and/or your project will be translated into your chosen language.
  • To translate your project with a different tool choose XLIFF import/export.
  • Click Export XLIFF to download your text objects.
  • To insert your translated file click Import XLIFF
  • Upload the XLIFF file and choose between importing all text objects and/or all subtitles.
  • Finally, choose to create a new project with the translated text and/or add the subtitles to a new subtitle track in the same project.
  • Click Import XLIFF to start the progress.

Translate a project in the Moovly Studio

  •  In the Moovly Studio click on the Subtitles button above the Stage.
  • Choose between Google Translate and XLIFF import/export.
  • With Google Translate you see the following options:
  • Pick the language you currently have in your project and choose the preferred language to translate.
  • ​Finally, click Translate to start the translation of your project.
